Kerala RTC Travel Cards
Kerala State Road Transport Corporation’s monthly travel cards are Premium (₹5,000), Gold(₹3000), Silver(₹1500) and Bronze(₹1000). The prepaid card can get from KSRTC depot with the validity of one month. At the time of purchase, valid ID proof is compulsory and also carry a one of the identity card (original) on travel. It will verify the bus conductor and enter the card number to the ticket machine. The travel card has limited and unlimited travel features, so before buying new one see the detailed features given below.

Plus one improvement revaluation
Kerala Higher Secondary Plus One Improvement Result is Published on 27th Septemeber 2017. If the students have doubt in the result valuation, apply the Revaluation, Scrutiny and Photocopy of Answer Script Application to Higher Secondary School (Examination centre) on or before 7th October. The application will not be received directly in the Directorate and Belated submission of Application will be rejected.

Students from Gulf and Lakshadweep Centers are directed to submit their application and the prescribed fee by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of J.D.Exam, DHSE Thiruvananthapuram to the school concerned.

Scrutiny:  ₹100/- per subject

    Kerala PSC English Grammar Tips and Tricks

    Kerala public service commission english grammar tips from the previous question papers. It is very helpful and must comes in all upcoming PSC competitive examinations like Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Police Constable, Assistant sales man, Secretariat Assistant, University Assistant, Company corporation & board, etc.. and all other english grammar included syllabus. The top 10 english grammar topics extract from the previously conducted examinations by KPSC.


    1. Lest
    * After 'Lest' use auxiliary verb as 'Should' only.
    Eg: Study well lest you should fail the examination.

    * Did not use 'Not' after 'Lest'.
    2. Neither.......nor
    If the 'two subjects' connected with 'neither...nor' the verb must change according to the 'second subject'.

    Example: Neither the chief minister nor the ministers were present for the meeting.
    3. Would You Mind/Would You
    * After 'would you mind' always use verb's gerund form (ing verb).
    Eg: Would you mind posting this letter ?

    * After 'would you', always use verb's base form (V1)
    4. Neither of, None of, A group of and A pair of
    A Sentence have 'neither of, none of, a group of and a pair of' - always use singular form (V1) of verb/auxiliary verb.
    5. Prefer...to
    'To' always come after 'Prefer'
    [Subject+Prefer+1st Preference+to+2nd preference]
    6. Fairly& Rather
    * Fairly used in positive sentence or before the +Ve adjective.
    Eg: She is fairly beautiful.

    * Rather used in negative sentence.
    Example:  The examination was rather difficult.

    * If the sentence in -Ve/+Ve and in superlative degree, rather alone used.
     7. Were
     If 'were' present in the 'if clause', it is a imaginary condition.
    [would/should/could/might+infinitive]

    Eg: If my father were there, he would help you.
     8. The + Comparative 
     If the sentence first part in 'the+comparative' form, the second part must in 'the+comparative' form.
    Eg: The older he got the happier he became.
     9. Since/For
    'Since' used to show a point of time and 'for' is period of time.

    Example:
    I have been staying here since 2006.
    It has been raining for 3 hours.
    10. It is Time
    * It is time + to => base form of the verb

    * It is time + pronoun => V2 form of the verb
    Eg: It is time we started the work.

    'Question Tag' questions are familiar for all candidates, Kerala PSC conducted examinations must have one question from 'Tag Question'. So every one definitely study this simple English grammar. It is very easy to understand and quickly study all the rules with in this lesson. I divide this lesson in to different chapters because basic knowledge is very important.

    Question Tags

    Chapter #1

    Must study the basic English knowledge like model auxiliary verbs, pronouns and negative words for question tag.

    If everyone want to study English grammar, please study the basic knowledge in the English grammar very well, unless no one can continue for further grammars. So the below given materials study well and repeat to read for the best result.

    Auxiliary Verbs/Helping Verbs/Special Verbs
    Total 24 Auxiliary verbs in English and they divided into two category. They are, Primary auxiliary verbs and modal auxiliary verbs.
     
    Primary Auxiliary Verbs (11 Nos.)
    Is, am, are, was, were, has, have, had, do, does, did.
     
    Modal Auxiliary Verbs (13 Nos.)
    Will, would, shall, should, can, could, may, might, must, need, dare, used to, ought to.
     
    Pronouns
    I, We, You, He, She, It, They.
     
    Negative Words
    No, Not, Nil, Never, None, None of, Neither...nor, Nobody, Nowhere, Nothing, No one, Hardly, Scarcely, Rarely, Barely, Few, Little, Seldom... etc.

    How to find the answer from 'question tag' questions?
     
    1. First find the auxiliary verb from the sentence.

    2. If there is no auxiliary verb in the sentence, take it from the main verb. Example: if the verb is 'Dances', 'does' is the auxiliary verb.

    4. Next find the subjective pronoun from the given sentence and add after the auxiliary verb (Eg: isn't he?)

    Chapter #4 - Rules

    Rule - 1: 
    [am + not = aren't]
    [will + not = won't]
    [Shall + not = shan't]

    Examples:
    1. I am a candidate, aren't I?
    2. She will come today, won't she?
    3. I shall pass, shan't I?

    Rule - 2
    For a sentence begins with 'Let's' / 'Let us' give the tag "Shall we?"
     
    Example:
    Let's sit here, shall we?

    Rule - 3
    If the imperative sentence ( a sentence that begins with a verb) showing emergency action give the tag 'won't you?', otherwise (no emergency) give 'will you?'
     
    Examples:
    1. Save the life of the child, won't you?
    2. Study well, will you?

    Rule - 4
    For a sentence that mentions an impatience, give the tag 'can't you?'
     
    Example:
    Don't insult me, can't you?

    If the auxiliary verb is 'used to', instead of take 'did' as the auxiliary verb.
     
    Example:
    Rahul used to come here regularly, didn't he?

    Rule - 7
    If the auxiliary verb is singular and the pronoun is plural in a tag, change the auxiliary verb into plural also.
     
    Examples:
    1. Everybody is there, aren't they?
    2. Nobody was there, were they?

    The eleventh batch of Kerala SSLC (10th) Equivalent examination October 2017 will be starts on 19.10.2017 (Thursday) to 31.10.2017 (Tuesday). The exam based on Grading System.     Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Examination Time Table March 2018. Pareeksha Bhavan will conduct the Kerala 10th exam every year in the month of March.     Kerala SSLC TimeTable 2018
    Kerala secondary school leaving certificate (SSLC) examination March 2018 timetable. Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has announced the upcoming final examination schedules of SSLC and THSLC. The exams start on 07.03.2018 and end on 26.03.2018. All the subject exams start on afternoon 1:45 it includes 15 minutes of cool-off time. After the SSLC exam result failed subject SAY (Save a Year) application must submit within 5 days where the exam conducted. SSLC Revaluation application can submit to the respective examination center with the fee of Rs.400/-. Fees for photocopy and scrutiny is Rs. 200/- and Rs.50/- respectively.

    A new notification will be published after the SSLC Result 2018 for the Revaluation, Photocopy, Scrutiny, SAY exam timetable and other important information regarding this 10th examination.
